Terms of Service

PriceScout is a product of PropKitCo, a brand operated by Byzantine Glam, LLC, a Texas limited liability company. In these Terms, “PropKitCo”, “we”, “us”, and “our” refer to Byzantine Glam, LLC.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By installing or using the PriceScout Chrome Extension (“PriceScout”, “the Extension”, “the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not install or use PriceScout. These Terms form a legally binding contract between you and PropKitCo.

2. Description of Service

PriceScout is a free Chrome browser extension that watches product and listing pages for price changes. When you add a page to your watch list, PriceScout:

Re-checks the page automatically at the frequency you configure
Sends a desktop alert when the price changes
Keeps a price history for each watched page

All data is stored locally in your browser. PriceScout requires no account and has no servers.

3. Pricing

PriceScout is entirely free. There are no paid tiers, subscriptions, or usage limits. The extension may include affiliate links (see Section 4).

4. Affiliate Links Disclosure

PriceScout may include affiliate links to merchants. If you click an affiliate link and make a purchase, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Affiliate links never affect the prices displayed, the accuracy of alerts, or which pages you can watch. We are not a party to any purchase you make from a merchant.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to use PriceScout to:

Watch pages at a frequency intended to overload or abuse a website
Circumvent a website's terms of service or access controls
Scrape, harvest, or bulk-collect data for redistribution or resale
Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code
Use the service for any unlawful purpose

You are responsible for ensuring that watching a particular page complies with that website's terms of use.

6. Price Accuracy Disclaimer

PriceScout detects prices from page content, which can change format at any time. You are solely responsible for verifying prices on the merchant's website before making any purchase or decision. We make no warranty that:

Detected prices are accurate, current, or complete
Every price change will be detected or alerted
Alerts will be delivered in a timely manner (your browser must be running)
Any particular website will remain compatible with the extension

7. Intellectual Property

PriceScout, including its source code, design, branding, and trademarks, is owned by Byzantine Glam, LLC. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works of the Extension without written permission.

8. Service Availability

PriceScout runs locally in your browser, so there is no service to go down on our end. However, browser updates, website changes, or Chrome Web Store policies may affect the extension's functionality. We may update, change, or discontinue the extension at any time without notice.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Byzantine Glam, LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost data, missed deals or price drops, or business interruption, arising from your use of PriceScout.

PriceScout is provided free of charge; our total liability for any claim related to PriceScout shall not exceed $100 USD.

Nothing in these Terms limits your statutory consumer rights under EEA or other applicable law where such limits are not permitted.

10. Termination

You may stop using PriceScout at any time by uninstalling the extension, which deletes all locally stored data. We may discontinue the extension or remove it from the Chrome Web Store at any time.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page indicates when the latest changes took effect. Your continued use of PriceScout after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of the State of Texas.

EEA consumers retain the right to bring claims in their country of residence under applicable EU law.
