PriceScout is a product of PropKitCo, a brand operated by Byzantine Glam, LLC, a Texas limited liability company. In this policy, “PropKitCo”, “we”, “us”, and “our” refer to Byzantine Glam, LLC.

1. Who We Are

PriceScout is a Chrome extension operated by PropKitCo. You can contact us at areakitpro@gmail.com.

2. Everything Stays in Your Browser

PriceScout stores your watched pages, price history, and settings locally in your browser. Nothing is sent to our servers — we have none for this product. The extension fetches only the pages you explicitly chose to watch, at the frequency you configured. No browsing history, no analytics, no tracking.

3. What We Do NOT Collect

PriceScout does not collect, store on any server, or transmit to us:

Your browsing history
The pages you watch or their prices — these live only in your browser's local storage
Your email address or any account information — PriceScout has no accounts
Cookies, trackers, or analytics of any kind
Location data, IP address, or device fingerprints
Information from any other Chrome extensions or browser tabs

4. How the Extension Works

Watching a page: When you add a page to your watch list, its URL and the detected price are saved in your browser's local extension storage.
Re-checking prices: At the frequency you configure, your browser fetches each watched page directly from the original website (the same as if you visited it yourself) and compares the price. These requests go from your browser to that website — never through us.
Alerts: When a price changes, the extension shows a desktop notification using Chrome's built-in notification system.
Price history: Each price check is recorded locally so you can view the history per watch. Removing a watch deletes its history.

5. Affiliate Links

PriceScout is free and may include affiliate links. If you click an affiliate link and make a purchase, we may earn a commission from the merchant at no extra cost to you. Affiliate links never affect the prices you see or the alerts you receive, and no personal data is shared with merchants by the extension — standard affiliate tracking is handled by the merchant's own website when you visit it.

6. Third-Party Websites

When your browser fetches a watched page, that website sees a normal page request from your browser (including your IP address), just as if you had visited it directly. Each website's own privacy policy governs how it handles those requests. We recommend only watching pages on sites you trust.

7. Data Storage and Deletion

All data lives in your browser. Watched pages, price history, and settings are stored in Chrome's local extension storage on your device.
Deleting your data: Remove individual watches inside the extension, or uninstall the extension to delete everything at once. We cannot access or recover your data — it never leaves your device.

8. Children's Privacy

PriceScout is intended for users 18 years of age or older. Because the extension collects no personal data, we have no way to identify or contact any user, including children.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our practices or legal obligations. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page indicates when the latest changes took effect. If a future version of PriceScout ever adds server-side features, we will update this policy before those features ship.
